From under the railway bridge, take the uphill road along the tracks. Go up the steps and after 200m, cross the carriage road again. Go up the steep path for about 350m up to "Ciò" planes, surrounded by a wall; walk for a further 400m where you find fork 3/4, which connects with path 4. Walk along the banks of the S. Giorgio stream for a short distance: a wide path through the pine-trees leads to the old and picturesque village of Montaretto, where you can find path 4 north of the Church.
