It was built between 1957 and 1960, and inaugurated on the 25 th of april 1960. Originally belonging to the Bernardi family, later it became shared property with the Daneri family. In subsequent years it was variously restructured: today it has a capacity of 150 internal seats and 150 on the external balcony.
It is placed on the promontory that extends between Bonassola and Levanto, among olive trees and cluster pines, moreover, from its enchanting location , it is possible to enjoy an exceptional view. To the west, the coast sweeps as far as the promontory of Portofino. In the east it ranges from the gulf of Levanto to the regional park of "Cinque terre". To the west, the islands of Gorgona, Corsica and Capraia are visible on the horizon, boasting their sinuous profile on a clear day, together with the peak of Monviso and the coast that stretches as far as the maritime alps, on the border between Italy and France. The restaurant mainly offers typical ligurian cooking, overseen by the owners themselves, ranging from whitesait, ligurian stuffed vegetables, mussels, anchovies, fresh fish, moscardini, squids and giltheads to the delicious wild board ham. Almost the year round you gan also taste fresh pore mushrooms and black truffles.The pizzeria, whit its wood-burning oven, offers a wide choice, and has been considered one of the best pizza restaurant in the whole region for forty years. The restaurant has a wide, private car park which can accomodate coaches too. Whit all it has to offer, it is the perfec place for banquets or wedding parties. To get there, take the A12 motorway for Genova and exit at Carrodano-Levanto, if you are heading for Livorno, exit at Deiva Marina, then go on for Scernio next to Bonassola. Open every evening from June the 1st to September the 30 th, during christmas and eastern holidays and all the week-end of the year.
